Job Description:
Enlighten is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to support mission-critical development and deployment efforts in a fast-paced environment. This role emphasizes secure cloud architecture, automation, and compliance, with a focus on AWS-based containerized solutions and on-premises infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and scripting, along with proven experience applying security practices across the DevOps lifecycle. Work is performed onsite at Ft. Belvoir, VA, five days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and secure AWS-based cloud infrastructure, with a focus on EKS.
  • Support secure deployment and sustainment of on-premise and edge-based infrastructure.
  • Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated compliance checks and secure deployments.
  • Manage and harden Kubernetes environments and containerized workloads.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to securely integrate applications into the infrastructure.
  • Monitor production systems, triage incidents, and ensure availability, scalability, and compliance with DoD security standards.
  • Continuously improve automation, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Stay current with DevSecOps and cloud security trends to enhance system reliability and resilience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph; U.S. citizenship required.
  • 9+ years DevOps/Software Development experience (or equivalent with advanced degree).
  • Strong AWS expertise (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) with a focus on secure deployments.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration, hardening, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and other configuration management tools.
  • Proficiency in secure scripting/programming (Python, Bash, or Go).
  • Familiarity with GitOps tools such as Git and Flux.
  • DoD 8140 / 8570 compliant certification (e.g., Security+).
  • Relevant Computing Environment certifications (AWS, Kubernetes, Linux).
  • Ability to work full-time onsite at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in big data technologies (Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, etc.).
  • Experience applying STIGs, hardening containers, and implementing secure CI/CD pipelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $195,000.00 per year
