Systems Architect (Advanced) – Cloud Architect
Location: [Tallahassee, FL / Hybrid / Remote]
Clearance/Compliance: HIPAA, NIST environments

We’re seeking an Advanced Systems Architect / Cloud Architect to design, lead, and scale enterprise-grade cloud solutions across AWS and Azure. This role is not just hands-on—it’s strategic. You’ll shape cloud governance, lead large-scale migrations, and establish a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) that defines how the organization builds, secures, and optimizes cloud infrastructure for years to come.

What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, highly available cloud architectures in AWS and Azure
- Lead on-prem to cloud migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to best practices
- Establish and lead a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) to drive cloud strategy, governance, and standards
- Develop and enforce cloud governance frameworks (security, compliance, cost optimization, resource management)
- Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions, including:
- Kubernetes & Docker
- Serverless architectures
- Configure and optimize:
- Cloud networking
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, NIST, and regulatory standards
- Integrate DevOps and CI/CD pipelines into cloud environments
- Design and test disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
- Lead FINOps initiatives to optimize cloud spend and improve financial visibility
- Develop training and enablement programs to elevate internal cloud capabilities
- Stay ahead of emerging cloud technologies and recommend innovative, cost-efficient solutions
What You Bring
- 10+ years of IT experience, with 4+ years in cloud architecture roles
- Deep expertise in AWS and Azure, including multi-cloud strategy
- Proven experience building and leading a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Cloud security & compliance
- Governance frameworks
- Cost optimization & FINOps
- Hands-on experience with:
- Kubernetes & Docker
- Serverless technologies
- CI/CD pipelines & DevOps practices
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
- AWS and Azure certifications (required)

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $85.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
