AI Programmer – Voice Bot & IVR Automation
Salary: $50,000–$70,000 per year (based on experience)
Location: Freeport, IL On-site to start; hybrid or remote possible in the future
About the Role
We’re hiring an AI Programmer to help build and maintain AI-powered voice bots, IVR systems, and call automation solutions for the telephone answering service and call center industry. This role focuses on inbound call handling, call routing, message taking, appointment scheduling, and customer self-service using the Floatbot.
You’ll work closely with call center operations and technical teams to improve how live and automated calls are handled.
What You will Do
- Develop and maintain AI voice bots and IVR call flows for inbound call automation.
- Design call routing logic, call transfers, voicemail capture, and after-hours call handling.
- Train and improve AI intents, entities, and speech recognition accuracy.
- Integrate IVR and voice bots with CRMs, ticketing systems, and call center platforms.
- Test inbound and outbound calls to ensure smooth voice interactions.
- Review call logs and analytics to improve performance and caller experience.
- Troubleshoot issues related to IVR logic, call flow errors, and integrations.
- Document IVR workflows, voice bot logic, and system connections.
What We’re Looking For
- Programming experience with Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Experience or strong understanding of voice bots, IVR systems, or call center automation.
- Familiarity with conversational AI, NLP, intents, entities, and dialog flows
- Experience working with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations.
- Interest in call center technology, telephone answering services, or voice automation.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on-site initially.
Nice to Have
- Experience with IVR platforms, voice AI, or speech-to-text / text-to-speech systems
- Background in call center operations or customer service technology
- Experience supporting live call environments.
