Job description

Job Summary:

Plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the organization's IT systems, including cybersecurity management, hardware installations, and software deployment. Oversees day-to-day IT operations and works closely with senior leadership to align technology strategies with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity:

  • Implement and manage cybersecurity strategies to protect the organization's network, systems, and data from potential threats and breaches.
  • Monitor network traffic and perform regular vulnerability assessments and security audits.
  • Ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practices, including PCI compliance.
  • Provide guidance and training to all employees on cybersecurity best practices and potential threats (e.g., phishing, malware) and data protection policies and procedures.

IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee the installation and configuration of laptops, desktops, and other end-user devices to ensure employees are equipped with the necessary hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with vendors for hardware and software procurement, ensuring the best value and functionality for the organization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across Gateway locations.
  • Administer internal servers, databases, and networking systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Implement and manage backup solutions to ensure ongoing business continuity.
  • Lead projects such as hardware rollouts, software migrations, system upgrades, and installation of operating systems and business applications and ensure timely completion.
  • Assist in the development and execution of IT strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness while working with department and location managers.

Software, System, and Other General Administration:

  • Manage the deployment and licensing of software applications across the organization, including coordinating software updates and patches. This includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Point-of-Sale terminals, and other proprietary software across company locations.
  • Provide IT support and guidance for critical business software applications and systems.
  • Manage WAN and LAN networks and network devices using multiple WAN technologies.
  • Work with HR, and directly with employees, involving employee setup, termination, and access changes.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate’s degree, or higher in Information Technology and Network Administration or 3-5 years of related field or equivalent work experience.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux is a plus) and business applications (Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Familiarity with server management, networking, and cloud technologies.
  • Strong knowledge surrounding data backup and recovery systems.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues across various platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats and solutions, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated and high degree of effective time-management.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to occasionally work in confined spaces and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Attend training, on-line and/or in-person, to keep up to date on emerging technology and best practices.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Minimal travel outside of company territories is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
