Job Description:
We are seeking two highly skilled Data Scientists to join our team, preferably with Army and NATO sustainment process knowledge. These positions will require expertise in Army Vantage and MAVEN, as well as advanced skills in various data science tools and methodologies. The ideal candidates will work remotely, the role requires daily engagement with process owners in the G4 and other MSC G4s. Flexible hours is crucial for effective communication, particularly due to time zone challenges. Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate closely with process owners in the G4 and other MSC G4s to understand requirements and develop solutions.
· Develop and implement algorithms leveraging programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, or NoSQL.
· Utilize Army Vantage for data analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
· Develop and maintain MAVEN-based applications to support operational processes.
· Work with distributed data and computing tools, including MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL.
· Conduct data exploration, cleaning, analysis, and visualization to uncover insights.
· Develop predictive models, quantitative analyses, and targeted visualizations.
· Analyze structured and unstructured data sources, including machine learning and natural language processing techniques.
· Collaborate with other team members to support Army Sustainment processes in transportation, supply, logistics, and more.
Qualifications:
· Experience:
o Minimum 2 years of experience in the development and use of Army Vantage.
o Proven experience with MAVEN development.
o Minimum 2 years of experience with distributed data or computing tools (e.g., MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, NoSQL).
o At least 2 years of experience with data exploration, cleaning, analysis, and visualization.
o Strong experience in statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis.
o Knowledge of Army sustainment processes, including transportation, supply, and logistics.
· Skills & Expertise:
o Proficiency in machine learning, Text Mining, artificial intelligence, or natural language processing (NLP).
o Ability to analyze and extract insights from structured and unstructured data sources.
o Experience in developing predictive models, quantitative analyses, and visualizations.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
