Job Description: Biomedical Data Scientist Lead
Location: USA- Remote

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled AI and Data Science Lead with a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and an active security clearance to lead and oversee advanced data science and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives within the biomedical sector. Key Responsibilities:
- AI and Data Science Leadership:
- Lead the AI and Data Science team to develop and implement innovative machine learning, deep learning, and AI models for biomedical research, clinical applications, and bioinformatics.
- Set the strategic vision for AI and data science initiatives within the organization, ensuring alignment with biomedical research goals and organizational priorities.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven solutions that support research workflows, clinical decision-making, data analysis, and healthcare operations.
- Data Management and Integration:
- Manage and optimize large-scale biomedical datasets, including genomic, clinical, and imaging data, ensuring proper data storage, integration, and quality control
- Machine Learning and AI Model Development:
- Lead the development of advanced machine learning, deep learning, and AI models to extract insights from biomedical data, including predictive modeling, pattern recognition, and natural language processing (NLP).
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including biomedical researchers, clinicians, IT, regulatory experts, and product managers, to ensure that AI and data science solutions align with business needs and scientific goals.
- Compliance, Security, and Regulatory Oversight:
- Ensure that all AI and data science initiatives comply with industry regulations and standards, including HIPAA, FDA, GxP, and other relevant biomedical and healthcare regulations.
- Leverage active security clearance to access and manage sensitive biomedical data in accordance with organizational and governmental security protocols.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in AI, data science, or machine learning, with a proven track record of applying these techniques to biomedical, healthcare, or life sciences applications.
- Strong experience in developing and deploying AI and machine learning models, particularly in the biomedical research, healthcare, or bioinformatics domains.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory and compliance frameworks for biomedical and healthcare data, including HIPAA, FDA, and GxP.
- Security Clearance:
- Active security clearance required (e.g., Confidential, Secret, Top Secret).
- Skills:
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java for data analysis and model development.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.90 - $55.68 per hour
