The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the ongoing design, implementation, and maintenance of our database systems, with a focus on SQL Server, Azure, DB2 LUW, and DB2 z/OS. This includes ensuring data security, reliability, and optimal performance. This position requires a deep understanding of database management, performance tuning, and data security.
- We are seeking a Database System Administrator to join our team. This role is open to candidates with a range of experience levels. The final level (System Administrator or Senior System Administrator) will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Proven experience as a DBA with SQL Server, Azure, DB2 LUW, and DB2 z/OS.

Proficiency in T-SQL, PL/SQL, and SQL programming.

Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.

Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

Familiarity with Azure infrastructure and services.

Familiarity with modern data architectures, including data lakes, relational databases, and data models.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to addressing data management challenges, including data quality, data profiling, and other related issues.

Project management skills with a demonstrated ability to complete small to medium-sized projects successfully.

Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance best practices.
What you need
-
Bachelor’s degree or completion of a Computer Science Program from a Technical Trade School is preferred. Technical training with certification in assigned technology is required as applicable.

Minimum of five years’ experience in I.T. and/or application development is required.

Demonstrated experience in managing various DBMS technologies by performing various database management functions including schema changes, software updates, monitoring, and troubleshooting, within defined service levels. Preferred experience with technologies such as SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, Azure, DB2, ER/Studio, and Microsoft Office products.
