POSITION VACANCY
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for the position of BAYROC Analyst. The entry level compensation for this position is $46,288.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS
This is specialized work of technical nature in support of the Bay County Sheriff's Office Real Time Operations Center (BAYROC) and the Criminal Investigations Division. Performs a wide range of technical, analytical, programmatic, administrative duties and special projects. Work is performed under the supervision of the Criminal Investigations Division Captain.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES
The BAYROC analyst will provide real-time assistance to county-wide law enforcement operations by monitoring Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) calls, License Plate Readers (LPR), video/audio platforms, as well as other technology and perform other duties in relation to the Real Time Operations Center. In the event of any major incidents, the analyst will provide real-time data and analytical information to law enforcement officers in the field to assist them with the incident.
The analyst runs background information and other necessary information on specific individuals and provide this information to all law enforcement agencies in Bay County; listen to jail calls; review and monitor video feeds; prepare emergency subpoenas or preservation letters; keep spreadsheets; develop, format, and prepare reports identifying trends, patterns, workloads and other factors relevant to Criminal Investigations. Prepares special bulletins on specific crime problems and special reports and studies as required. Performs special projects requiring research and statistical analysis of data upon request. Work hours are flexible and may require evenings and weekends depending on mission critical operations in support of the Real Time Operations Center and the Criminal Investigations Division. Duties also entail providing analytical support for the Northwest Florida FUSION Center.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Ability to compile statistics, data and other information and present oral or written reports.
Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
Ability to speak clearly over a law enforcement radio system and provide information during high stress situations.
Ability to create reports and findings for administrative review and/or action.
Ability to analyze and compare significant data and present it in logical form.
Ability to collect significant information from and furnish information to other law enforcement agencies promptly.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with law enforcement personnel within and outside the agency.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point with knowledge on functions, data sorting and eliminating, and other analytical uses.
Proficient across all major social media platforms and ability to keep up with changing trends. Ability to apply a strong level of critical thinking to connect dots and piece information together collected from a multitude of resources.
Ability to multitask and monitor numerous technological platforms and communicate the information clearly to law enforcement personnel within and outside the agency.
Ability to identify knowledge gaps to assist investigators and further criminal investigations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
Completion or pursuance of a degree in Intelligence, Criminal Justice, or experience in criminal intelligence, military intelligence, national or homeland security intelligence, crime analysis or law enforcement related field is preferred. Specialized experience may substitute for degree. Critical thinking activity will be conducted during interviews.
