SUMMARY
Provide overall management of Powers and Sons Information System resources. This includes formulating IS departmental business plans and budgets in support of the department and overall company objectives. Position will also be responsible for all daily systems operations, equipment maintenance, and subordinate task management. Candidate will also provide hands-on service to the user community as required in maintaining equipment and software. This position will also serve as the liaison for all user communications with the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Formulate and execute overall I.S. strategy for Powers and Sons.
- Formulate and monitor departmental budget process in support of all departmental plans.
- Communicate with top management the strategies required to support the business needs.
- Develop and manage subordinates in support of the departmental objectives.
- Promote customer focus, continuous improvement, and risk-based thinking throughout the department.
- Establish team leadership in the formulation and monitoring of a disaster recovery plan for all systems.
- Develop and manage a project change methodology for the department.
- Maintain knowledge and operation of an IBM Power System environment and its associated applications.
- Maintain knowledge and operation of a Windows Server environment which includes on-prem Active Directory Domain Controllers.
- Maintain knowledge and operation of network management hardware and software.
- Maintain knowledge and operation of virtual servers and associated storage devices.
- Maintain knowledge and operation of Sonicwall Firewalls, VPNs, Switches and VLANs.
- Maintain knowledge and operation of Microsoft Exchange (on-prem) mail server.
- Maintain knowledge and operation of VOIP phone systems, and associated paging systems.
- Maintain knowledge and operation of Infor LX, Plex, Shopvue, and Fishbowl ERP Systems.
- Maintain knowledge and operation of Veeam Backup Solutions.
- Maintain operation of external and internal websites and related programs including RPG programming.
- Maintain, apply, and keep up to date on security standards set by the automotive industry such as TISAX high availability.
- Maintain knowledge of the unique requirements of the automotive industry including ASNs, EDI processing, and customer portals.
- Ability to work as a team member with other departmental managers.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Willing to provide hands-on support at the user level.
- Willing to travel and support multiple locations.
- Establish a long-range departmental plan in support of the company goals.
- Ability to manage and develop departmental staff.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform the job successfully, an individual must have system/network administration experience working with a virtual server environment. The individual must also be comfortable troubleshooting and maintaining on-prem equipment and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or demonstrated knowledge equivalent. Minimum 3 years’ experience in an automotive industry manufacturing environment

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
