Job Overview
We are urgently hiring a Prep / Kitchen Lead to oversee food production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP, and CGMP standards while maintaining top levels of food safety, sanitation, and product quality.
This leadership role requires a strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and equipment management to ensure efficient production workflows and consistent results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily food preparation and production activities to meet quality and output goals.
- Enforce compliance with FDA, HACCP, CGMP, and sanitation standards.
- Supervise and coordinate food processing, packaging, and portioning operations.
- Maintain high sanitation standards through regular cleaning and inspections.
- Oversee equipment setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting/maintenance.
- Manage inventory and raw materials to meet daily production needs.
- Train team members on proper food handling, safety, and equipment use.
- Ensure forklift and equipment use follows all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records for traceability.
- Partner with Quality Assurance to uphold product consistency and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Proven experience in food production, kitchen prep, or manufacturing leadership.
- Strong knowledge of FDA, HACCP, CGMP, and sanitation practices.
- Mechanical aptitude for operating and maintaining food processing equipment.
- Basic math skills for measurements, weights, and batch calculations.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Reliable, motivated, and able to perform in a cold/refrigerated environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
