Job Summary:
Beacon Industries is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IT Network Engineer to manage, maintain, and enhance our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable network performance, providing technical support, implementing security measures, and supporting ongoing IT projects across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, software, and related equipment.
• Monitor network performance to ensure availability, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including LAN/WAN, VPN, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, patches, and updates.
• Support server administration, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support IT-related tasks and projects.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes.
• Recommend upgrades and improvements to optimize system performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in network engineering or IT systems administration.
• Strong understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
• Hands-on experience with network equipment (Cisco, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, or similar).
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Office 365.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
