We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems, ensuring their performance, security, and availability. The Database Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting our data-driven initiatives and ensuring the integrity of our data assets.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain database systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Design and implement database structures that meet business requirements.
- Develop and execute ETL processes to facilitate data integration.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, including PL/SQL for efficient data retrieval.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application needs related to databases.
- Utilize Shell Scripting for automation of routine tasks within the database environment.
- Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with best practices.
- Document database configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL and experience with high availability configurations.
- Familiarity with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for data migration tasks is preferred.
- Experience working in a Linux environment is advantageous.
- Proficient in database design principles and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
