Job description
This position oversees all aspects of information technology at Xigent Automation Systems, Inc., ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable IT infrastructure to support business operations and manufacturing systems. This includes network administration, cybersecurity, database and application support, and facilities IT infrastructure.
Duties:
Primary
· Administer and maintain Windows servers, workstations, and Hyper-V virtual machines.
· Configure and monitor routers, VPNs, and networking equipment.
· Implement cybersecurity strategies including threat detection, prevention, and disaster recovery.
· Oversee backup and restore operations for all critical systems.
· Manage Linux-based systems for select applications.
· Maintain and troubleshoot building systems including security systems, phone, voicemail, and structured cabling/punch-down blocks.
· Provide technical support and training to internal users across departments.
Application and Database Administration
· Administer Microsoft SQL Server databases.
· Develop and support internal applications using VB.NET, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
· Maintain integrations and performance of enterprise tools.
Software & Scripting
· Use server administration tools such as Active Directory, DFS, Group Policies, and PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
· Ensure compatibility and performance of engineering and business applications.
Support and Collaboration
· Work closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of IT systems with automation and production activities.
· Assist with network and systems scalability to accommodate new projects and departmental expansions.
Technology & Systems Improvement Leadership
· Lead continuous improvement efforts in IT infrastructure and processes.
· Evaluate and recommend new technologies that align with organizational goals.
· Establish and enforce IT policies, best practices, and compliance with industry standards.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
