UNDISCLOSED Private Corporation

Job description

About Us

We’re a $275M+ technology solutions provider that works with Fortune 500 companies and large enterprises across healthcare, manufacturing, senior living, and retail. Historically, we’ve been strong in networking, cloud, and infrastructure but now we’re building something new: a serious wireless practice.

Not an overlay team. Not “Wi-Fi as a checkbox.” We’re treating wireless as core infrastructure. And we’re doing it right from day one.

What We’re Looking For

We’re hiring someone who lives and breathes wireless, the person sales calls when they actually need answers, and delivery teams trust to get it right the first time.

You’ll take the lead on wireless design, validation, and strategy for some of our biggest clients, think multi-site healthcare groups, nationwide refreshes, and large, demanding environments. You’ll own the wireless side of pre-sales, build pilots, and help plan national and global rollouts. You’ll also work with our network infrastructure team, but you’ll be the one focused purely on RF and mobility.

We’re not looking for someone to just “help with Wi-Fi.” We’re looking for the person who will define how we do it, help scale it, and shape the next 5 years of our wireless work.

What You’ll Actually Do

  • Handle full wireless design and validation: predictive, APoS, active/passive, post-deployment tuning
  • Build pilot designs for national or international rollouts, then help hand off for scale
  • Support the sales team on RFPs, scoping calls, technical discovery, and exec-level presentations
  • Collaborate with network teams during larger refreshes, but stay laser-focused on wireless
  • Own the documentation: BOMs, SOWs, RF plans, validation reports, remediation playbooks
  • Help bring on reliable vendors for structured cabling, survey work, and delivery support as we grow
  • Travel to client sites when needed, then go heads-down when it’s time to design

Tools You Should Know (and Actually Use)

  • Ekahau Pro + Sidekick (1 and 2)
  • Hamina Network Planner
  • WLANPi
  • NetAlly AirCheck G3

If you’ve built custom workflows around these, even better. If you’ve only seen them on YouTube, probably not a fit.

What You Need to Bring

  • 10+ years working specifically in wireless, not just general networking
  • Experience running point on global or national Wi-Fi refreshes (100+ sites, 1,000s of APs)
  • Pre-sales experience: You’ve been the one who shows up to help close deals, not just implement them
  • You’ve worked in real-world RF: warehouses, hospitals, stadiums, retail, not just carpeted cubicle farms
  • You know how roaming works with 802.11k/v/r and can walk someone through the packet flow
  • You understand antenna selection, bracket types, and cabling, not just software
  • You know how to explain RF stuff to execs, PMs, and junior techs without losing them
  • If you've used AirMagnet, you probably have enough experience time wise.

Certs We Require (All of Them)

  • CWDP, CWSP, or CWISA (CWNE is a big plus)
  • CCNP Enterprise (Wireless) or CCIE Wireless
  • JNCIA-MistAI, JNCIS-MistAI (JNCIP-MistAI strongly preferred)
  • ACMP (ACDX preferred)

If you’re missing more than one of these, this probably isn’t the role.

What You’ll Get

  • A real voice in how we build this practice
  • National visibility and strategic influence
  • Competitive base salary + strong bonus
  • Health, vision, dental, disability

Final Word

This is not a junior role. It’s not an overlay. It’s not a checkbox.

You’ll be building out how we do wireless: designing at scale, helping run pre-sales, and eventually guiding the whole motion as we expand.

Don’t Apply If…

  • You don’t know the difference between a Sidekick 1 and Sidekick 2
  • You can’t run a packet capture and explain 802.11k/v/r roaming behavior
  • You’ve never done a survey or design outside of an office building
  • You can’t speak confidently about cabling, mounting gear, or antenna selection
  • No third-party agencies. We’re not looking for recruiters, outsourcers, or anyone “representing a candidate.”
  • No referral pitches. We’re not paying referral fees, and we’re not interested in commission-based lead gen.
  • No sponsorship. You must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa support now or in the future.
  • No exceptions. If any of the above applies to you: please don’t waste your time or ours.
