Bottleless Nation is seeking a skilled Firmware Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in C or C++, be familiar with compilers, and have adaptability to collaborate with global team members across different time zones.

This is an onsite position in our production facility on the north side of Indianapolis, and will be reporting to the Director of R&D.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test firmware for embedded systems.
• Write, debug, and optimize code in C or C++.
• Work with compilers to build and deploy firmware solutions.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and product designers to ensure system performance.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control management.
• Test and modify software, while creating formal processes for development.
• Communicate with global team members, occasionally outside standard business hours due to time zone differences.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3 years of firmware development experience.
• Strong C or C++ programming skills.
• Familiarity with compilers and embedded development workflows.
• Flexibility to collaborate during non-standard hours for international communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with writing code for 8051 microcontrollers
• Experience integrating REST APIs into embedded systems.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese (highly preferred).
