JOB DESCRIPTION

PTS is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer with direct knowledge of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) network architecture to support Data Center Optimization and Modernization efforts.

This position will be hybrid remote/onsite (2-3 days onsite) at the following DISA locations: Ft. Meade, MD; Columbus, OH; Montgomery, AL; San Antonio, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Ogden, UT.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Develop high-level detailed network design documents and diagrams
• Perform network modeling, planning and analysis
• Work with other network engineers to isolate and identify network performance issues
• Develop workable solution to existing designs, solutions and processes to improve efficiency, performance, reliability and security
• Support the development of process automation for routine tasks within the environment
• Follow networking best practices and security guidelines in the development of all design documentation
• Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and network health metrics
• Ensure designs are compatible and in compliance with all DoD and DISA regulations
• Support Mission Partner application migration efforts from legacy architectures to modern hybrid cloud environments
• Work with the Principal Network Architect and Project Manager to plan and implement projects within defined schedules

WHAT YOU NEED:

Clearance: Active Secret (Required)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent experience)

Year’s Experience: 6+

Certifications; Security+ (Required); CCNA or JNCIA-DC (Preferred)

Technical Skills:

• Experience in routing and switching in both local on-prem and enterprise scale networks
• Experience in creating detailed network diagrams
• Experience in conducting site surveys, configuration reviews and developing detailed documentation including recommending changes and improvements
• Experience with implementing and configuring networking services within a cloud environment (AWS/Azure)
• Experience with SDN, ZTA and Hyperconverged environments
• Knowledge of Windows/Unix/Linux administration
• (PREFERRED) Experience with automation platforms (e.g. Ansible, Chef) and container solutions (e.g. Docker, OpenShift)
• (PREFERRED) Experience with cloud networking concepts, Infrastructure as Code
• (PREFERRED) Experience in automating tasks using Python, JavaScript, or other programming languages

Pay: $135,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
