Title: IT Manager

Status: Exempt, Full Time – In-office position

Location: Irvine, CA 92612

Reports To: President, CFO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: MFG is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled IT Manager to join our team. This role will focus on maintaining reliable, secure IT infrastructure and supporting end-users in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our organization's IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and related infrastructure. Duties will include troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring data security, and contributing to IT projects and upgrades. The ideal candidate has experience working in financial institutions or similarly regulated industries and understands the importance of cybersecurity, data integrity, and uptime. Additional responsibilities may include process automation, and various operations and compliance projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, printers, and related hardware/software.

2. Provide technical support to employees on-site or remotely, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.

3. Monitor system performance and ensure systems operate efficiently and securely.

4. Maintain telecommunications and remote access systems.

5. Manage and monitor user accounts, permissions, and access rights using Active Directory or similar tools.

6. Manage and monitor secure access to financial applications and platforms (e.g., Bloomberg Terminals).

7. Maintain and administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and endpoint protection systems.

8. Support and enhance disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

9. Maintain and update technical documentation, including procedures and inventories.

10. Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure all software licenses are current and compliant.

11. Assist with the planning and implementation of IT projects (e.g., system upgrades, migrations).

12. Ensure data backups and disaster recovery systems are properly configured and tested.

13. Manage cybersecurity initiatives, including program development and documentation, antivirus management, software patching, and monitoring (MXDR, SIEM, SOC, EDR, SOAR).

14. Work with compliance and risk teams to support cybersecurity frameworks, log monitoring, and incident response protocols.

15. Perform database administration ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security.

16. Collaborate with third-party vendors for IT services or hardware/software procurement.

17. Assist in evaluating and implementing new technology solutions to support business goals.

Position RequirementsJob Skills & Qualifications:

1. Experience with:

o Financial applications and trading platforms

o Cybersecurity tools and standards (SIEM, endpoint detection, encryption protocols)

2. Proficiency in:

o Microsoft Office

o Microsoft Access and SQL Server

3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

4. Ability to respond promptly, organize tasks, manage time, and prioritize requests.

5. Attention to detail and follow-through skills.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

2. 3+ years of experience as an IT Manager, Specialist or similar role, ideally within the financial services sector.

3. Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN), and enterprise IT tools.

4. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical staff.

5. Strong documentation and organizational skills.

6. Familiartiy with securities regulations, including FINRA and SEC.

7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.

8. Must be available for occasional after-hours support and participation in IT audits and regulatory reviews.

Salary: Range $70K to $85K based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
