Reporting to the Enterprise Architect and working closely with IT and Marketing, update and develop in-house websites and web applications including the primary public facing AJA website. Improves and maintains website architecture to ensure reliability and scalability. Responsible for developing, testing, implementing and maintaining web-based application systems with a focus on security. Troubleshoots system problems and issues and looks for ways to monitor and improve applications.
Requirements:
- Design and deliver critical customer facing and internal website systems and features.
- Oversee web application designs, test plans, and rollout strategies.
- Create and build demos prior to full-scale implementation.
- Research, evaluate and propose solutions that are robust and meet stringent security standards.
- Review requirements, software designs and code, and take ownership of the quality of the deliverables.
- Takes responsibility for creating scalable and reliable system designs.
- Provide time and effort estimates of deliverables.
- Working closely with IT to ensure all designs meet IT standards.
- Monitor web traffic for unusual patterns or problems.
- Work with IT to maintain back-ups, and server health.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with multiple scripting and programming languages. Especially PHP, JavaScript and python. Familiarity with SQL, HTML, CSS, Object Oriented Programming, Open-Source CMS projects, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal and ability to work closely with management across the organization.
- Demonstrated detail-orientation and organizational skills.
- Experience with using third party REST APIs and developing API interfaces.
- Experience with SVN or GIT versioning systems.
- Experience in developing in a cross-browser environment.
- Experience with IDE debuggers or strong debugging skills.

Education and Experience:
- BS Degree in computer science or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-8 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Experience developing a mid-sized dynamically generated website or experience working with a team of developers on a large production website.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. The base salary for this position is $89,751 – 112,189.00. This range reflects base salary only, and does not include additional compensation or benefits. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience, education, training and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
