Job Description:

Alyn, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to serve as a AI/ML Engineer. The candidate will support a cybersecurity operations team focused on combating cyber incidents by refining and developing machine learning solutions to detect potential malicious network threats. The AI/ML Engineer will build and deploy models focused on anomaly and threat detection to ensure the security of network assets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop machine learning models using Splunk’s Machine Learning Toolkit and Deep Learning Tool Kit to identify potential cyber threats.
• Analyze structured and unstructured datasets from diverse sources, integrating insights about threat actors and malware campaigns.
• Build and refine new and existing models to better identify anomalous behavior and potential threats using Splunk or Python.
• Build and refine data pipelines to automate model development and production.
• Provide thought leadership on advancements in ML and possible implementations of new techniques and technologies to advance the team’s initiatives.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages used in data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of cyber security concepts and products.
• Knowledge of anomaly and threat detection using statistical/machine learning models.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of proven experience in business/data analytics or a related field
• Proven experience using Splunk including visualization and machine learning tasks.
• Proven experience using python to build machine learning solutions, including the use of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow
• Proven experience working within a Linux environment to manage data and develop analyses, including Anaconda and TensorFlow.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
