Overview
IPQualityScore is seeking a highly skilled Vitess Database Administrator to join our team. As a DB Admin, you will be responsible for optimizing database performance across multiple data sets and data centers to help stop fraud and detect malicious actors on the internet. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain database systems, ensuring high levels of performance and availability.
- Maintain incoming data sources and data integrity across disparate databases.
- Drive continuous improvement in database performance and integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and implement new solutions.
- Maintain clean, scalable, and maintainable database infrastructure
- Ensure database performance meets customer requirements and accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date with new software and database technologies.
- Perform regular database backups and recovery operations.
- Develop and implement database scripts for automation and maintenance tasks.
- Monitor database health and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement new databases or modify existing ones.
- Ensure compliance with data security policies and standards.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and changes for future reference.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years experience or greater in database administration in a SaaS product development environment.
- Strong Expertise in Vitess
- Expertise in MySQL and MariaDB
- Experience with Spider and Multisource Replication
- Knowledge of programming (Java, Python, PHP, Golang, NodeJS, VueJS, TypeScript, Java, C, C#, C++, Rust, etc…)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of Git.
