DevOps Engineer I

Amatriot (formerly GovTact) is looking for a junior to mid-level DevOps Engineer to join our team in support of the US Department of Veterans Affairs on a remote basis. Ideal candidates must be eligible to obtain a public-trust level clearance and bring fundamental-level experience in DevOps Engineering principles. Due to this being a position in support of a federal government agency, qualified applicants must be US citizens and have no criminal history.

*This is a surge support position with initial funding of 6-months. There is potential for contract extension after the initial 6-month period if high-performance metrics are met.

Responsibilities:

· Implement, test and deploy infrastructure as code with e.g. Terraform, Jenkins, and Ansible

· Develop and maintain automated configuration of servers and services in the AWS environment

· Monitoring and maintaining infrastructure services as knowledge and experience increase

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelors in software engineering or related field.

· Experience with Terraform

· Experience with IAC technologies

· Knowledge of DBMS and SQL

· Knowledge of Git

Desired Qualifications:

· 1-4 years work experience

· Experience with Jenkins, other AWS services, Ansible, Jenkinsfile, python, java

· Experience with bash scripting

· Knowledge of basic AWS cloud services such as EC2 and lambda.

· Basic knowledge of networking and cloud services

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,900.00 - $89,500.00 per year
