Job Title:
Systems Administrator I

Location: Carmel, IN / Hybrid

Travel: Up to 25% to client sites, which may include air travel and overnight stays.

Work Arrangement: Direct Hire (Full Time Employee) for most candidates. Business reserves the right to extend a Contract-To-Hire job offer contingent upon interview performance.


Required Technical Skills:

  • 1-4 years of experience in IT infrastructure or system administration in a managed services or enterprise environment.
  • Windows Server, Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), Networking, Cloud Technologies (Azure preferred), Scripting (PowerShell preferred), Backup & Recovery.


Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat).
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Citrix Certified Associate (CCA-V), CompTIA Network+, Server+, Security+, or ITIL Foundation.

What You'll Do

  • You'll be the backbone of our client's IT systems, handling everything from daily operations to long-term strategic improvements.
  • Server and Cloud Management: You'll handle the full lifecycle of server and infrastructure environments, from installation and configuration to troubleshooting and maintenance. This includes managing on-premise, virtual, and cloud-based systems.

  • Security and Stability: You'll implement and manage security protocols, patching systems, and developing robust backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect our clients' data and operations.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking a Systems Administrator with 1-4 years of experience in an enterprise or managed services environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who is ready to take on complex challenges and grow their career.


Your technical skills include:

  • Server and OS Expertise: Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Networking: Strong understanding of core networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
  • Cloud Experience: Familiarity with both public and private cloud infrastructure, specifically Azure.
  • Scripting: Experience with PowerShell or similar scripting languages for automation.
  • Disaster Recovery: Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.


You should also have:

  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to efficiently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: The knack for explaining complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Certifications: Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network+, or Security+ are a plus.


This is a hybrid position based in our Carmel, IN office, with the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
