Job Description: Power Platform Developer / Application Programmer
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Power Platform Developer / Application Programmer to support an Azure Power Automate modernization project. This role will involve solution development, secure coding, workflow migration, documentation, and close collaboration with architects, business analysts, and security specialists. The ideal candidate combines deep Microsoft Power Platform expertise with modern development practices and cybersecurity awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Development & Modernization
- Design, develop, and implement solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse.
- Modernize, migrate, and refactor existing automation workflows and integrations.
- Create scalable connectors and integrations with Azure services and external APIs.
- Optimize workflows for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Secure Software Development
- Apply secure coding practices throughout development lifecycle.
- Perform security testing and remediation using tools such as Burp Suite, SpecFlow, and Azure Defender for DevOps.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to ensure compliance with cloud-native security standards.
Application Documentation
- Create and maintain system documentation including architecture diagrams, API references, and process workflows.
- Develop user and technical guides to support adoption and knowledge transfer.
- Ensure all deliverables are audit-ready and aligned with governance policies.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with solution architects, functional consultants, and project managers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, providing updates on deliverables, risks, and issues.
- Contribute to overall project governance and modernization roadmap.
Required Certifications (Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (preferred but not required)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or equivalent
- CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert (a plus)
Experience & Skills
- 5-10 years of experience as a Power Platform Developer / Application Programmer.
- Strong knowledge of Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, and Azure Functions.
- Hands-on experience with C#, .NET, APIs, and Azure integration services.
- Background in secure software development lifecycle (SDL).
- Proficiency with security testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, SpecFlow).
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
Key Deliverables
- Modernized Power Automate Workflows – Refactored and validated in the new Azure environment.
- Integration Framework – APIs and connectors documented for external systems.
- Security Compliance Reports – Vulnerability scans, remediation plans, and SDL practices applied.
- Technical Documentation – Architecture diagrams, system documentation, and user guides.
- Governance Deliverables – Milestone tracking, risk reports, and stakeholder updates.
