Job description

We’re looking for a highly experienced Cloud & IAM Engineer who can lead the design, implementation, and operational support of identity and access management solutions in a large-scale cloud environment. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills with deep expertise in AWS services, automation, and security governance. You will be collaborating closely with multiple engineering, product, and security teams to ensure robust IAM governance and seamless cloud enablement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage IAM solutions and automation pipelines within AWS cloud environments.
  • Serve as a technical SME for IAM initiatives across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
  • Translate business and engineering requirements into secure, scalable IAM solutions.
  • Collaborate with architecture, application, operations, and risk teams to align access control policies with organizational standards and compliance needs.
  • Lead efforts in auditing, governance, and access policy enforcement across cloud platforms.
  • Drive operational excellence through backlog management, incident resolution, and enhancement of existing IAM capabilities.
  • Support access request management, troubleshooting, and documentation efforts as needed.
  • Monitor security and compliance posture through access control validation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide regular sprint progress updates and stakeholder communication.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in AWS IAM design, policy management, and cross-account access strategies.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience scripting and automating AWS tasks using Python and/or similar tools.
  • Strong background in implementing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, Chef, ECR, EKS, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of AWS IAM components, including SAML roles, Identity Center, Access Analyzer, service-linked roles, and condition-based access control.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud governance, security audit readiness, risk mitigation, and compliance standards.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills across engineering, product, and security teams.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and incident management practices is a plus.

Pay: Up to $63.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
