About the Role
We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will have experience contributing to agile teams and be intrinsically familiar with the SDLC. This role will be responsible for continuously executing development processes and best practices, as well as making key contributions to our codebases daily, primarily focused on our ERP systems products.
Responsibilities
- Driving development processes and best practices
- Collaborating with QA to assist in the development of automated testing and manual test cases and user stories
- Acting as a key contributor in the bug triage process and driving issue resolutions as needed
- Self-diagnose and test code logic, correct bugs, and anticipate logic gaps
- Program applications and software to meet identified needs by writing clean, efficient code
- Limiting technical debt in code by extensively planning development around business processes
- Creating development plans, including industry best practice diagrams and other documentation
- Working with third-party vendors and ensuring that business needs are achieved on time and under budget
- Communicating implementation overhead estimates to management
- Providing support to other departments on the effective use of built applications and programs
- Executing periodical cleanup sessions to maintain organized, streamlined, well-documented technical resources
- Proactively solicit product requirements by communicating with stakeholders, including SMEs, peers, and management, and managing the progress of those requirements in JIRA
- Managing version control repositories and branch management for assigned products
- Continuously assessing technical infrastructure and making recommendations on improvements to management as needed
- Packaging and releasing new builds through general release and QA channels
Qualifications
- Proven experience collaborating with internal and external customers
- 2+ years of hands-on development experience using a major modern object-oriented programming language (C# and Python preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in cloud computing
- 2+ years of work experience within the agile framework, leveraging JIRA as a resource for development planning and issues tracking
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of writing highly efficient SQL queries
- Familiarity with REST API infrastructure and implementation methods
