Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our systems infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of various technologies and a passion for learning and growing within the field of systems administration.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, network equipment, and cloud enviroments.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
- Support user access management, including account creation, modification, and deletion.
- Maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in system upgrades and migrations as needed.
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Linux and UNIX operating systems is essential.
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts including DHCP, VPN, and AWS services.
- Microsoft 365 Suite administration knowledge.
- Operating Ticketing System
- Help Desk Experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
