Job description
Immediate need for an IT Support Coordinator to start immediately for a 2 months contract position with a leading law firm in Costa Mesa, CA.
- This is a 100% on site position in Costa Mesa, CA
- M to F from 8 AM to 4 PM PST.
- Hourly Rate is around 30 to 35/hour depending on the level of relevant experience
- Experience working within a law firm is highly preferred or a professional service environment
- Need someone who can start immediately
JOB SUMMARY: The IT Coordinator is responsible for all IT support tasks, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and implementing comprehensive solutions. The IT Coordinator also acts as a liaison between end-users and technical teams, providing excellent customer service while maintaining seamless IT operations.
The following duties describe the general nature of this position. The list of essential functions is not exhaustive, and additional responsibilities may be assigned to meet evolving business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Configure, install, and deploy new or replacement technology assets including PCs, smartphones, tablets, printers, video conference systems, telephones, and specialized business equipment while ensuring optimal performance and security compliance.
- Provide support for diverse software and hardware environments, including multiple operating systems, enterprise applications, legal software platforms, and cloud-based solutions.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively collaborate with peers, IT team members, and firm-wide stakeholders, ensuring clear technical guidance and seamless project coordination.
- Work collaboratively with IT professionals, contributing to team success through knowledge sharing and active participation in cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Provide basic training for end-users and communicate details that enhance organizational technical competency.
- Execute multiple concurrent objectives with minimal supervision while managing shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and competing demands in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Ensure adherence to firm IT policies, security protocols, and best practices while serving as a resource to help others understand and implement these guidelines effectively.
- Collaborate with System Administration teams on enterprise application tasks, system migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
- Provide backup support to Call Center operations as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, service requests, and resolutions using the firm's ITSM software, ensuring accurate reporting and knowledge base development.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical support roles with demonstrated expertise in enterprise environments.
- Ability to independently manage help desk tickets, phone support, and email requests while maintaining high service quality standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and enterprise applications.
- Excellent organizational abilities, customer service orientation, and communication skills (written and verbal) with experience serving diverse user populations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related productivity applications.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to synthesize complex technical information, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to lift and maneuver computer equipment weighing up to 70 pounds safely.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, computer networking principles, routing, switching, and network security concepts.
- Experience with iManage or similar document management platforms.
- Experience working in law firms or legal environments.
- Experience supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops or other VDI environments.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree with substantial coursework in Information Systems or Computer Science; or equivalent professional experience demonstrating technical competency.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional, or similar credentials are a plus.
