Gateway is looking for a seasoned Machine Designer Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team of innovators. What You’ll Do

  • Design and troubleshoot custom automation machines
  • Lead and manage mechanical design projects from concept to completion
  • Collaborate with clients and suppliers to engineer innovative, cost-effective solutions
  • Create 3D models, drawings, and bills of materials
  • Improve designs and processes with a focus on quality, speed, and detail
  • Assist with machine builds and installations
  • Occasionally travel to support installations, training and client needs

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of machine design experience (automation preferred)
  • Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks)
  • Familiarity with 2D CAD tools (AutoCAD, DraftSight)
  • Ability to spec mechanical components for long-term reliability
  • Experience managing projects and working independently
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and technical writing abilities
  • Bonus: Knowledge of statics, dynamics, motors/gearboxes, and materials, electrical, programming

Base Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
