Position Title: Applications Team Manager (Development/Support)

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Job Description:

DAI is actively looking for a highly motivated individual to fill a critical position managing an IT Applications Team's development and support activities for a leading Client in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The incumbent will be part of and lead the Applications Development, Support, and Integrations Team. They will also play a key role in the continued ongoing skill development of the team, as well as ongoing client relationship building with the people they support. The skills of the team include Custom Development, all DBA activities, 3rd Party vendor management with some vendor software support, Application APIs, and GIS Development and Support.

Top Skills:

· Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience, both business and technical.

· Proven experience as an IT Manager or Team Lead.

· Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.

  • Strong people leader to reduce shoulder tapping and be comfortable interacting with dept heads/CIOs to keep “leadership” accountable for following agreed processes.
  • Significant experience managing .Net and GIS Projects and Teams.
  • Be able to work with the new GIS coordinator to help him understand the backlog and prioritize work.
  • Experience with Agile project mgmt. methodologies – the need for this is mostly driven by very constrained GIS resources, will have to effectively manage those resources and work/sprints.
  • Prior experience leading development and support programmers.

· Effective communication skills to collaborate with the Program Manager, cross-functional teams, and the client.

· Minimum of 10+ years of involvement in the types of activities listed in the Job Description above.

· Should have a general knowledge of IT Infrastructure support activities.

· Must be an excellent people person, coach, cohesive team builder, and have the ability to lead by example. Especially in the areas of ongoing client relationship building between the team and their many clients.

Responsibilities:

· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Applications Team, ensuring progress on development and support activities, smooth functioning with the other IT Infrastructure Teams, and strong client relationships are ongoing.

· Manage team to ensure incoming support tickets are triaged, assigned, and escalated appropriately.

· Ensure team is managing effective and timely ticket resolution within established SLAs.

· Work closely with Program Manager to conduct RCAs (root cause analysis) on production incidents, to prevent future occurrences and establish long-term solutions.

· Ensuring Applications best practices are followed, with a focus on security.

· Make sure that the proper documentation and SOPS are maintained and new ones developed.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements to help recommend innovative solutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
