Job description
The System Administrator and Integration Analyst role supports and maintains the university’s enterprise IT systems with a significant emphasis on Windows Server administration, including Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy management. The position is responsible for administering and maintaining AD environments, configuring and enforcing Group Policy settings, managing user and device authentication, and ensuring accurate directory structures that support secure access control. The role also includes troubleshooting AD-related issues, assisting with domain services such as DNS and DHCP, and contributing to system hardening and vulnerability remediation related to authentication and directory services.
Beyond AD responsibilities, the analyst supports broader system administration functions across Windows and macOS environments, including system configuration, patching, performance monitoring, virtualization (e.g., Hyper-V), and enterprise tools such as JAMF Pro, IIS, and SQL Server. The position also contributes to security compliance efforts, infrastructure troubleshooting, automation through PowerShell/Python/Bash scripting, and documentation of system configurations and workflows. Overall, the role blends technical support, system administration, integration analysis, and security practices—anchored by strong hands-on experience with Active Directory and related Windows Server technologies.
