OVERVIEW
The IAM Hygiene Analyst supports identity hygiene operations across the enterprise. This includes detecting and resolving identity-related risks, improving identity data accuracy, and ensuring access aligns with least privilege. The analyst will also support IAM governance tasks, escalate issues, contribute to process improvements, and work closely with senior IAM analysts and engineers.
The team is currently in Axonius training and is using the Identities Module for identity discovery and issue resolution. Candidates with Axonius experience are preferred, as they will be able to ramp quickly and support the team in maturing its hygiene workflow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and remediate unused, stale, duplicate, orphaned, or over privileged accounts.
- Monitor identity activity and access configurations for risks or policy violations.
- Support IAM governance, policy adherence, and basic compliance checks.
- Assist in developing and maintaining IAM workflows, runbooks, and documentation.
- Validate gaps, analyze issues, and support remediation actions.
- Track IAM hygiene KPIs and KRIs.
- Collaborate with IAM analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Review identity logs and alerts and escalate anomalies.
REQUIRED
- Four or more years of experience in IAM or a related security role.
- One or more years of experience in IAM hygiene or IAM governance.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Understanding of least privilege, identity lifecycle, and access controls.
- Experience with IAM platforms such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, or Ping.
- Familiarity with Axonius (preferred).
- Knowledge of IAM frameworks such as NIST or ISO.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Experience supporting MFA or SSO authentication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Active Directory or Azure AD.
- ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
- Security tools such as SIEM, EDR, or SOAR.
- Scripting with PowerShell, Python, or SQL.
