Urban Tails Grooming Spa in East L.A. has an immediate opening for an experienced full time pet stylist. Candidates must have at least 1 year experience, work in a fast pace environment, a ability to groom 6, depending on the dog breed . Qualifications; positive and gentle attitude toward pet and possess excellent work ethics. At Urban Tails Spa our main focus is grooming with a gentle and kind positive attitude. We prioritize well-being and safety above speed. Must maintain a clean, organized workspace and help clean at end of shift. Must have be able to work in team settings (NO drama accepted) and get along with others.

Work Hours Include: Wednesday Thru Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday from 9am 2pm

Qualifications required:

• Dependable, reliable, and punctual
• Proficient in scissoring skills and animal handling skills
• Pay strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of breed standard cuts using proper restrains and safe grooming techniques to insure a safe and stress free grooming session
• Able to lift at least 50lbs and stand log periods of time
• Groom at least 6-7 dogs per day on busy days
• Bathe and de-matt own dog
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and pet parents
• Must have patience and gentle hands and work with all type of dog personalities( We do NOT tolerate rough handling whatsoever)Pays from $25 and up based on experience plus tips.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
