Application Engineer-Inside Sales

Integrated Mill Systems (IMS) is a process automation solutions provider. IMS designs, builds, programs, and implements level 1 control systems, primarily in support of the metals producing and processing market, providing a wide range of equipment and services for both new and retrofit projects. Position Overview:

Responsible for the pre- and post-sale support of industrial automation customers. This position will be based out of our Portage, IN office.

Primary Duties:

Meet with customers to understand project opportunities, and work with project engineers/managers to develop solutions to address the customer need.

Develop system architecture drawings, technical proposals, and associated pricing

Present technical/commercial proposals to customers

Follow-up with existing customers and foster new business relationships; supporting multiple locations as required.

Requirements:

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in industrial automation.
• Experience working with PLC, drives, and HMI products, as well as metals processing knowledge is strongly preferred.
• 5 years experience working in metals industry (steel / aluminum mills)

Qualifications:

• Willingness and desire to participate in ongoing training to maintain technical competency in automation products, software and complimentary areas.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
• Travel required approximately 25% of the time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
