Project Manager – Residential Renovation
Evergreen General Contracting | Wexford, PA
The Role — What You’ll Do
As Project Manager, you’ll lead—and own—the full lifecycle of residential renovation projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Initiate and manage project permitting, drawings, and coordination with engineers/architects.
- Oversee site preparation: demo work, masking/protection, prep for subcontractor work.
- Oversee internal Evergreen employees and superintendent and future assistant project manager hires.
- Work directly with customers, Evergreen estimator, and designers to finalize project design and scope for implementation with subs and employees.
- Assist with hands-on tasks when needed; coordinate subcontractor schedules and on-site work.
- Manage change orders: evaluate concealed issues or scope changes, finalize pricing, prepare and present scope to customers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, subcontractors, Evergreen Managers, office staff and design/estimators
- Track schedules and budgets to ensure on-time, on-budget completions while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Order materials, coordinate deliveries, and manage logistics with suppliers and drivers.
- Visit primary projects on a daily basis and all Evergreen projects on a weekly basis to confirm cleanliness and scope completion.
- Schedule inspections; meet inspectors on-site when required.
- Maintain jobsite cleanliness, enforce safety protocols, and ensure subcontractor compliance with project specifications.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and records throughout all project phases.
- Perform punch-list and final walk-through, manage closeout and customer hand-off.
- Report project status regularly to Evergreen Admin and customers; proactively identify and resolve on-site issues.
- Implement and continue to add JobTread software offerings to all projects working with Evergreen Managers and office staff to train and onboard systems and processes.
- Utilize and expand current Evergreen SOPs.
This role blends desk work (project admin, documentation) with on-site project leadership and hands-on coordination — reflecting the dynamic nature of renovation work.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar residential renovation or remodeling project manager role for a high end residential general contractor.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team (subcontractors, in-house employees and future assistant project manager hires).
- Strong communication skills — comfortable interfacing with homeowners, insurers, subcontractors, inspectors, suppliers.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Solid organizational and tech skills: proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, project scheduling tools, document tracking.
- Ability to learn and train on new software programs (ie JobTread)
- Strong aptitude with business and construction mathematics, geometry, measurements, estimating.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Commitment to quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, customer satisfaction, and safety compliance.
Proposed Compensation & Benefits
Base Pay Range: $80,000 – $100,000 per year (depending on experience & qualifications)
Total Compensation Potential: $105,000 – $140,000+ (base + project/completion bonuses + incentives)Benefits:

Schedule & Work Conditions
- Full-time (40+ hours/week typical)
- Standard workday: ~ 8-hour shifts (7:30am to 4:30pm with 1 hour lunch break - schedule to be discussed based on need) Monday through Friday, but expect weekends or after-hours work as needed depending on project demands and deadlines
- Primarily on-site work in Wexford, PA and surrounding residential areas
- Mix of office/admin work and field work — this role demands flexibility and adaptability due to the variable nature of renovation projects and coordination with multiple trades
