Job description

Job Duties: Manage SQL Server databases, lead Access migrations, automate workflows, integrate QuickBooks, and ensure secure, high-performance enterprise systems. The detailed job duties include:

Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases supporting enterprise operations such as lease management, tenant billing, vendor payments, and financial reporting. Lead full-scale migrations from Microsoft Access to SQL Server, including data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization. Develop automation tools using VBA and Python to streamline data entry, reporting, and reconciliation, and build ETL workflows integrated with SQL Server. Configure and support QuickBooks Enterprise environments for real-time accounting integration and multi-user stability. Implement database security through role-based access controls, encryption, and Active Directory integration, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards. Design and automate backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime and preserve data integrity. Troubleshoot performance issues by optimizing queries, tuning indexes, and analyzing system activity using SSMS, DMVs, and Extended Events. Collaborate with accounting and operational teams to align database functions with business logic, and document system architecture, stored procedures, and data workflows for long-term maintainability.

Requirements:

  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field.
