AWS Solution Architect (BFF- application side)
CTH role 6-12 months (convert to hire)
Location: Webster, MA
Hybrid Schedule- 3 days on-site and 2 days remotely (from start date)

Front End Systems– Mostly angular applications with BFF(Backend for Front End) service layer calling enterprise services. Applications are migrating to AWS and AWS native technologies. The person to be working 80% of the time with the Product team and 20% of the time with the Architecture Team. Candidates must have experience with applications, Angular JS, Java, Python AWS and AWS native technologies.

Solution Architect: Responsible to design and support the implementation of technical solutions that align with business needs and organizational goals. Translate business requirements into technical designs, ensuring the solution is scalable, secure, and reliable. This includes analyzing business needs, evaluating potential solutions, selecting the appropriate technology stack within our ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design: Develop comprehensive technical solutions that address business challenges and align with organizational objectives.

Architecture Vision: Build and own Architecture roadmap for the product area.

Architecture Development: Create architecture designs, system diagrams, and technical documentation outlining the structure, components, and integration points of the solution.

Technology Selection: Choose the appropriate technology stack, considering project constraints, performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and direction to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate technical solutions and their impact to stakeholders, including business and technical teams.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks within the solution design, such as scalability challenges, security vulnerabilities, and integration issues.

Performance Analysis: Perform performance analysis on implemented solutions and identify areas for optimization.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document best practices and share knowledge with other team members.

Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges related to the solution.

Solution Lifecycle Management: Oversee the solution's lifecycle, including implementation, maintenance, and enhancement.

Compliance: Ensure solutions adhere to relevant standards, regulations, and organizational policies. Responsible to remove technical debt and ensure applications meet security guidelines.

Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including Technical Project Managers, Engineers, and Scrum masters , to ensure successful solution delivery.

Work Breakdown: 80-90% time working with product team, 10-20% of time working with Architecture Team

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role in software development.
• Proficiency with Front End technologies- Angular JS
• Proficiency with AWS and AWS native technologies
• Proficiency programming languages with Java and Python
• AWS Certifications- big plus
• Strong knowledge of web services, cloud computing, IaaS, and SaaS architectures.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible and their application in deployment processes.
• Experience with SDLC methodologies and best practices.
• Knowledge of server management and virtualization technologies, including Citrix.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Pay: $75.00 - $85.00 per hour
