Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our staff and ensuring that all IT systems run smoothly. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage computer networks, and assist users with various IT-related inquiries. Your expertise in operating systems, networking, and customer service will be essential in maintaining the efficiency of our IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across various platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Manage computer systems and ensure optimal performance of IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot software issues and perform necessary repairs or escalations.
- Assist with VPN setup and configuration as well as firewall management.
- Offer desktop support to end-users, resolving issues related to computer hardware and peripherals.
- Utilize help desk tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira to track support requests and document solutions.
- Maintain computer networking systems including LAN configurations.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on IT equipment to prevent future issues.
Skills
- Proficient in technical support practices and customer service excellence.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other commonly used software.
- Experience with computer management, networking concepts, and IT support methodologies.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques for various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Understanding of VPNs, firewalls, LAN configurations, and general computer hardware components.
- Ability to work with help desk software such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira for issue tracking.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with users at all levels of technical proficiency.

Base Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
