Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in building and maintaining secure, automated, and compliant technology infrastructure to support the operations. This position ensures system reliability, data protection, and operational efficiency across development and production environments—enabling the organization to deliver compliant and high-performing healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support the deployment of applications that process sensitive health data and support CMS requirements.
• Implement and manage cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in alignment with HIPAA, CMS, and HITECH compliance standards.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate environment provisioning and configuration.
• Collaborate with development, data, and compliance teams to maintain a secure, scalable, and resilient architecture for Medicare Advantage applications, claims systems, and member portals.
• Support data integration workflows between internal systems, CMS, and external partners (e.g., PBMs, TPAs, vendors).
• Implement and monitor logging, alerting, and system performance tools (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, CloudWatch) to ensure system uptime and reliability.
• Maintain containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) for scalable deployment of health plan applications.
• Embed DevSecOps practices to ensure automated security testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance monitoring throughout the pipeline.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, backup management, and business continuity testing.
• Collaborate with compliance and security teams to ensure all environments meet CMS, SOC 2, and HIPAA audit requirements.
• Provide on-call support for production issues related to infrastructure or deployment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4–6+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineer, preferably in a healthcare or health plan environment.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Experience managing secure data environments and implementing access control and audit logging.
• Familiarity with FHIR APIs, HL7, and healthcare data exchange standards preferred.
• Understanding of CMS compliance requirements for Medicare Advantage plans, including PHI/PII data handling.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience supporting claims systems, eligibility data, or EHR integrations.
• Knowledge of serverless and event-driven architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
• Exposure to Zero Trust Architecture and cloud security frameworks (NIST, HITRUST).
• Experience working with SOC 2 Type II or HIPAA-compliant environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML operations (MLOps) for healthcare analytics a plus.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
