Job description
As a Senior Network Engineer specializing in advanced networking and network security, you will take a lead, hands-on role in architecting, deploying, and securing complex enterprise network infrastructures. This position centers on implementing, optimizing, and hardening specifically Aruba and Juniper networking platforms in addition to others, with a strong focus on enforcing robust security controls, ensuring traffic integrity, and delivering highly available, high‑performance environments for diverse client needs.
You will be responsible for end‑to‑end solution implementation—including configuration, validation, policy design, and security posture optimization—across wired, wireless, WAN, and data center network domains. In addition to execution, you will contribute to architectural design efforts, provide technical guidance during pre‑sales engagements, and serve as a subject matter expert to help translate business requirements into secure, scalable network architectures.
This role requires maintaining up‑to‑date Aruba and Juniper certifications and continuously expanding your knowledge of evolving security standards, threat landscapes, and vendor‑specific capabilities. Your technical leadership will help ensure that clients receive resilient, future‑ready network solutions that align with best practices in performance, compliance, and cybersecurity.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and implement advanced networking and network security solutions for mid‑market and enterprise customers, including complex multi‑site, high‑availability, and policy‑driven environments.
- Provide technical pre‑sales consulting and solution scoping, working closely with sales teams to develop accurate, competitive, and technically validated proposals for mid‑market and enterprise engagements.
- Maintain current certifications and deep technical proficiency across Aruba and Juniper platforms (required), with additional competency in Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet technologies to support heterogeneous enterprise network ecosystems.
- Continuously track vendor updates, software release cycles, security advisories, and certification requirements to ensure ongoing technical relevance and alignment with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and vendor partners to produce detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accuracy in hardware, licensing, and security components for client-facing proposals.
- Deliver structured reports, technical documentation, and status updates within required timelines to support project governance and client communication.
- Travel up to 50% to support on‑site client workshops, technical discovery sessions, high‑level and low‑level design reviews, and hands‑on deployment activities.
- Soft Skills: Professional written and verbal communication, presentation capability, responsiveness, organizational and time‑management skills, and timely maintenance of CRM entries.
- Technical Skills: Layer 2/Layer 3 switching and routing, enterprise WLAN design and optimization, Network Access Control (NAC) - ClearPass, firewall engineering, segmentation strategies, and secure network architecture principles.

Required Education, Training, and/or Experience
- Associate’s Degree in an IT-related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience in assigned discipline
- Demonstrated design and implementation expertise in the discipline area
- Current certifications from key manufacturers (Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco)
- Experience working with CRM tools and documenting client engagements
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
