Position Summary:

The IT Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s technology infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient IT operations. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, overseeing system administration, network security, and technology projects to support business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Network and System Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect company data, systems, and networks from unauthorized access, threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • Cybersecurity Protection: Prioritize protection of the organization’s computer networks from cyberattacks, malware, viruses, breaches, and similar threats.
  • Administration of IT Systems: Oversee the administration of all IT-related systems, including servers, storage, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, including Voice, SharePoint, and OneDrive, ensuring availability, security, and user support.
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM): Administer and maintain MDM solutions to enforce security policies, manage device enrollment, and support mobile workforce needs.
  • SQL Server Administration: Maintain and support SQL Server databases, ensuring performance, security, and availability.
  • System Maintenance and Upgrades: Ensure timely maintenance, patching, and upgrading of existing systems to maintain performance, security, and compliance.
  • System Uptime and Reliability: Monitor and manage IT infrastructure to achieve high availability and minimize downtime across all critical systems.
  • Remote Access Management: Configure, secure, and support remote access solutions to enable seamless and secure connectivity for remote and hybrid employees.
  • Active Directory and Network Services: Maintain and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Meraki VPN services.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for IT and Network procedures and support guides.
  • Vendor and Licensing Management: Establish andmanage vendor relationships that will assist in managing the specialized IT needs of the company and ensure compliance with software licensing agreements.
  • IT Policy and Compliance: Ensure IT policies and security protocols are followed and enforced across the organization.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and maintain an effective disaster recovery process to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters. Including data backups and recovery.
  • IT Staff Management and Development: Manage and develop IT staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations to build a high-performing team.
  • Evaluate Business Needs: For future projects and system enhancements.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience: 4–6 years in IT roles, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management position.

  • Experience supporting a mid-sized business environment (100–300 users preferred).

Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and networking fundamentals.

  • Familiarity with SQL Server administration and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and remote access technologies (VPN, MFA).
  • Strong cybersecurity knowledge with emphasis on protecting networks from cyberattacks, malware, viruses, and breaches.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator
  • ITIL Foundation

Working Conditions:

· Majority of time to be spent on site

· Office Conditions with some work in a warehouse area

· Scheduled and/or urgent work nights/weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
