POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate DevOps Engineer will assist DevOps engineers in building and extending our evolving continuous delivery Microsoft Azure. This position requires some understanding of both software development and system administration. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is eager to learn Azure processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support and participate in DevOps engineering tasks and initiatives with the goal of understanding, maintaining and improving continuous delivery in an Azure environment.
- Assist with evaluations of current deployment procedures. Recommend, document and implement tools and practices to increase efficiency and repeatability.
- Assist with configuration, deployment, and running open-source and custom software.

Develop knowledge of current and emerging technologies and products.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Educational or work experience with programming and system administration.

Azure Dev Ops certification preferred.

Have awareness of computer coding/programming languages and software development concepts (C#, .Net, HTML).
- Have a broad understanding of software development and IT processes.
- Have knowledge of IIS administration.

Have understanding of highly available and scalable cloud-based applications.

Have the ability to develop scripts in Power Shell, JavaScript or equivalent.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Related Microsoft certifications.

Organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignment simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience using MS Office and MS operating systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This is largely a sedentary role.
