Job Title: IT Operations Managers

Pay: Staring at $120k and Up DOE

Location: Thornton, CO ( IN -OFFICE)

Position Summary

The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and optimized for performance. This role includes managing disaster recovery planning, security event response, and backup operations, with a strong emphasis on Veeam and enterprise-level technologies.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and manage IT operations including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services

· Oversee backup and recovery processes using Veeam

· Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and conduct regular testing

· Monitor and respond to security events, ensuring timely resolution and documentation

· Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support

· Manage vendor relationships and service contracts

· Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

· Provide leadership and mentorship to IT support staff

Technical Expertise

  • Deep understanding of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Azure AD.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools (e.g., KACE, Intune, SCCM).
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, firewalls, and RADIUS authentication.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware).
  • Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Solid understanding of security event detection and response.
  • Strong experience with Veeam for backup and recovery operations.
  • Comfortable managing hybrid cloud/on-prem infrastructure.

Operational Leadership

  • Proven ability to lead IT operations in a multi-site or enterprise environment.
  • Experience developing and enforcing IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Skilled in vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Strong project management skills—able to scope, plan, and execute IT initiatives.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks.

Security & Compliance

  • Experience implementing and maintaining cybersecurity best practices.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., NIST, SOC 2).
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and support internal/external audits.

Team & Communication

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills—able to guide junior staff and foster growth.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset—works well across departments and with executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2–3 years in a management role.
  • Relevant certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, etc.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with KACE scripting and deployment workflows.
  • Familiarity with Aruba Wireless infrastructure and seamless authentication setups.
  • Background in supporting remote work environments and mobile device management.
