Job Summary:

Position Overview

As a Front-end Developer, your primary responsibility will be maintaining and enhancing our company's UI products to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize front-end interfaces while also working comfortably with backend Python APIs that support our front-end applications. This position is in-office, located in downtown San Diego.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using modern front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or similar frameworks).

- Optimize UI components for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.

- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional, high-quality code.

- Integrate and interact with backend Python APIs to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of RESTful APIs using Python frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django, or FastAPI).

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain high code quality and reliability.

- Stay updated on emerging front-end and full-stack technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.

- Work closely with product managers, backend developers, and other stakeholders to align on project goals and timelines.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development.

- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, and modern front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js, or Angular).

- Experience with Python and backend frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.

- Familiarity with RESTful API design, integration, and testing.

- Strong understanding of responsive design principles, web performance optimization, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AWS DynamoDB) and ORM tools.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.

- Understanding of containerization tools like Docker.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
