Summary

We are seeking a Senior Database Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Philadelphia in support of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support - Medical Supply Chain program in Philadelphia. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity, availability, and performance of databases critical to managing and distributing medical supplies across military and federal healthcare operations and is responsible for managing the development of database projects and provides daily supervision of staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development phase of required database projects to support the mission and goals.
• Plans and budgets staff and data base resources.
• Prepares and delivers presentations on database management systems (DBMS) concepts.
• Provides daily supervision and technical direction/leadership to junior database administrators and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high performance team environment.
• Oversee database performance tuning and query optimization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS in technical discipline
• Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority - CompTIA Security+
• Ten (10) years relevant experience
• Must have an active Secret DoD Clearance
• Experience in DBMS system analysis and programming
• Experience using current DBMS technologies and application design using various database management systems
• Supervisory experience

Pay: $99,000.00 - $147,000.00 per year
