We’re currently supporting major utilities on next-generation data transformation initiatives, and we’re expanding our data engineering capabilities to meet new AWS-based program needs.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Data Engineer who can bridge cloud infrastructure and analytics, someone equally comfortable spinning up AWS infrastructure and building pipelines as they are shaping data models for reporting and insights.

This role will help rebuild and modernize data pipelines currently maintained in Excel into robust, scalable systems running in AWS. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and client teams to design, deploy, and optimize data infrastructure that supports large-scale reporting and analytics functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines and infrastructure within AWS.
• Set up and manage AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, EventBridge, SES, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terraform Cloud.
• Configure and optimize databases such as Amazon Redshift and Amazon RDS.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps workflows for automation and deployment.
• Manage data ingestion, transformation, and reporting pipelines to support business analytics.
• Collaborate with analysts and project leads to translate business logic into scalable data models.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or related AWS-focused role.
• Proven experience building AWS infrastructure from the ground up.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform (required).
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with AWS services: SES, EventBridge, CodeBuild, CloudWatch, Lambda, EC2, Redshift, and RDS.
• Solid understanding of data modeling and warehousing.
• Version control experience using Git.
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps best practices.
• Experience with Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
