JOB SUMMARY

Radian Group is seeking a Sr. Software Developer to lead the development of mission-critical web applications that power our organization's operations and analytics capabilities. This role will focus on architecting and building scalable, multi-tenant business applications that enhance productivity and drive measurable impact across our entire workforce. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our technology stack, leading major projects from conception to deployment, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with modern web development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project Leadership: Take ownership of major development initiatives within our portfolio of web applications, driving projects from requirements through deployment while ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
• Full-Stack Architecture: Design and implement robust, scalable solutions across the entire technology stack, making key architectural decisions that balance performance, maintainability, and future growth.
• Application Development: Build and enhance multi-tenant business applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, delivering intuitive interfaces and seamless user experiences that improve quality of life for our workforce.
• Technical Innovation: Drive innovation in our development practices, exploring and integrating cutting-edge technologies, tools, and methodologies that elevate our applications and accelerate delivery.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure applications are performant, responsive across all devices, and capable of supporting our growing user base with minimal latency.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience:
• 7-10 years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of leading significant projects and delivering production applications.
• Demonstrated experience architecting and building full-stack web applications from the ground up.
• Technical Skills:
• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, with deep experience in modern frameworks and libraries.
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js, React, and Express for building sophisticated web applications.
• Experience with cloud hosting platforms (Vercel) and database technologies (AWS RDS, Supabase, PostgreSQL).
• Mastery of responsive web development principles and mobile-first design approaches.
• Experience with authentication providers and Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations is a plus.
• Familiarity with data-intensive UI components (e.g., AG Grid or similar table libraries) is a plus.
• Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Chart.js) is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and ability to continuously improve pipelines.
• An eye for design and attention to detail in UI/UX.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab) and collaborative development workflows.
• Leadership Qualities: Ability to mentor junior developers, influence technical direction, and lead by example through hands-on contributions and technical excellence.
