Job Summary

The AzEDS & Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of ThrivePoint High School’s student data and reporting systems. This role manages the submission of state-mandated data to the Arizona Department of Education in alignment with Arizona Education Data Standards (AzEDS), oversees the school’s Student Information System (SIS); PowerSchool, and provides technical and operational support to ensure data-driven accountability and reporting. The AzEDS & Systems Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with state reporting requirements, supporting school operations, and providing reliable data to drive decision-making.

In addition, this position serves as the lead overseeing the Registrar team, directing daily operations, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring compliance with state reporting requirements. The AzEDS & Systems Administrator is also responsible for coordinating and collaborating closely with the Enrollment Team, working in partnership with the Enrollment Team Lead to ensure consistent and accurate student data across both departments. Effective collaboration is essential for schoolwide data accuracy and operational alignment.

Key Responsibilities

State Reporting & Compliance

- Oversee all data submissions to the Arizona Department of Education in compliance with AzEDS requirements and timelines.
- Monitor, validate, and reconcile student enrollment, attendance, demographics, and accountability data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Serve as the primary liaison with Arizona Department of Education to resolve data errors, discrepancies, or reporting issues.
- Ensure school compliance with state accountability measures, data audits, and reporting deadlines.

Registrar Team Leadership & Cross-Team Collaboration

- Service as the primary lead for the Registrar Team, providing oversight, direction, and support to ensure accurate student records and adherence to school and state policies.

- Establish and enforce data entry and documentation standards within the registrar function.

- Collaborate proactively with the Enrollment Team Lead to align processes, troubleshoot discrepancies, and maintain consistency in student data across both teams.

- Promote communication and shared accountability between registrar and enrollment operations.

Student Information System (SIS) Administration

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Student Information System (PowerSchool), including user access, security, data entry standards, and data integrity.
- Support staff in the use of the SIS for scheduling, grading, attendance, enrollment, and reporting functions.
- Perform regular data audits and system maintenance to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate technical support with systems vendors as needed.

Data Management & Reporting

- Generate routine and ad hoc reports for school leadership, state agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and compliance risks to inform continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide training and technical assistance to staff on data entry, system use, and reporting procedures.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of Arizona Education Data Standards (AzEDS) and state reporting requirements.
- Experience with Student Information Systems (PowerSchool preferred), including administration and data management.

- Experience managing and leading teams in a professional environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams and external agencies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, data query tools, and reporting systems.
- Prior experience in K–12 education data management or school operations preferred.

Additional Requirements

- Willingness to work occasional extended hours to meet reporting deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and organizational data in compliance with FERPA and other regulations.

- Must have a current Arizona IVP fingerprint card
