GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of the Web/Graphic Designer is to support the Graphic Design team and in turn gain valuable experience with a professional fast paced design team. You will assist in creating visually appealing concepts that effectively communicate the brand's message on multiple social platforms, internal collateral, and the website. As a Graphic Design team member within the Marketing Department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing design strategies for campaigns, collaborating with other designers, and consistently following up with the design and marketing project managers. This position requires you to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, in which you will be entrusted with creating engaging assets across various digital channels, such as ads, social media, emails, and websites. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Develop digital and print graphics and layouts for all marketing channels and collateral using Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, or/and InDesign, such as but not limited to: Web pages and web assets, including banners and icons
- Digital assets for Shopify; product images, banners
- Social media posts across multiple platforms, including campaign assets and ads
- Internal and external marketing collateral such as, one-sheets, flyers. announcements, invitations, instructional packets, presentation decks, media kits, event collateral, annual reports
- Design compelling marketing emails and layouts and build them within email platforms MailChimp and Zoho
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams or clients on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, signage, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing materials
- Report to and submit projects to the team lead
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity
- Develop concepts by hand or with software, and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
- Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for using a content management system
- Use trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets when designing and executing specific classifications
- Source quotes/vendors to produce various products; stickers, apparel, magnets, pins, pens, etc, and manage that relationship/production schedule
- Organize and maintain file libraries and assets
- Maintain folder for standards of procedures, file storage, and branding & identity
- Keep a daily log of work notes to reference for task objectives and completion and input them into our project managing software, Asana, when applicable
- Make an effort to keep up-to-date with the latest design trends and new design tools
- Create shot lists style guides for new assets
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related field is preferred
- Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
- Five or more years of experience as a graphic designer in a professional setting using design software, including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, XD
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellent typography, layout, and design skills
- Understanding of design principles including color theory, composition and typography
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to continue building skill set with education and training
Not Required But is a Plus:
- Thorough experience in the use of photography and photo compositing, Spark AR and other 3D Software
- Knowledge of UX/UI design

Hours of operation: Monday - Friday - 7 am-3:30 pm (PST)
OTHER
Ability to work weekends and holidays, based on need. May be required to travel for specific events.
