Job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our technology team. This role is essential in providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse range of IT infrastructure components, supporting end-users and maintaining optimal system performance.

Duties

  • Provide technical support to end-users via help desk tickets, phone, or in-person/remote consultations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, operating systems, and network connectivity
  • Manage computer management tasks including software installation, updates, and configuration
  • Support network infrastructure including LAN, VPN, firewall configurations, and troubleshooting connectivity issues
  • Assist with desktop support for various devices and peripherals
  • Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure
  • Configure and support mobile devices.
  • Perform hardware diagnostics and repairs as needed
  • Document incidents and resolutions accurately
  • Collaborate with the team to improve existing systems and implement new solutions

Skills

  • Proven experience in technical support and help desk roles
  • Strong knowledge of computer management, hardware components, and operating systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other productivity tools
  • Solid understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN setup, VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting
  • Experience with software troubleshooting across various platforms
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues related to computers and peripherals
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
  • Knowledge of security protocols

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
