Job Title: IT Operations Manager

Location: On-site - 425 Paul Road, Rochester, NY 14624

Reports to: Chief Information Officer

Pay: $100,000 - $104,000 Annually

Position Summary:

Reporting to the CIO, the IT Operations Manager will bring a broad range of early- to mid-career skills and experience to progressively assume responsibilities over time for the successful execution of all IT operations within the agency. As a long-term career progression position, this role will contribute to an established program of significant change, having already resulted in dramatic improvements in IT practices, infrastructure management, cost efficiency, staff training, team development, and information security. The scope of operations includes Help Desk and end-user support, maintaining a critical WAN across 70+ networked facilities, a local data center along with Azure and O365 environments, multiple third-party cloud service provider applications, a robust and strict Information Security Program, and enterprise application support and configuration control.

Key Responsibilities:

· Initially focus on learning and institutionalizing the scope, direction, short-term goals, and IT vision for Lifetime Assistance, Inc. (LAI).

· Manage and develop specific operational areas to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and advance operational excellence.

· Engage IT team members to promote individual development in order to meet system administration and support needs.

· Continue the development of IT operations policies, procedures, and processes to improve consistency, excellence, and regulatory compliance.

· Develop reporting tools and practices to clearly communicate the current state and status of IT operations to the CIO and other organizational leaders.

· Support and advance the formal Information Security Program.

· Maintain high-performing levels of operation in end-user support.

· Assist with the support and administration of the wide-area networking environment.

· Assist with the support and administration of the data center processing environment, including Windows Server, hybrid AD services, VMWare/ESXi, Cisco, and Dell systems.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.

· Technical expertise and specialization in one or more of the following areas:

o Windows Server and domain administration, including AD and Hybrid AD.

o Wide Area Networking (WAN), including border protection, subnetting, VLANs, routing, and firewall management, preferably in a Cisco environment.

o Wi-Fi management and security in a Meraki environment.

o Complex backup management.

o Mobile Device Management (MDM) administration.

o Advanced knowledge of infrastructure management tools, including network monitoring, endpoint management, patching systems, AD management and monitoring tools, SIEM systems, etc.

o VMWare/ESXi environment management.

o Enterprise MFA and SSO technology management.

o VoIP systems administration.

· Experience in Help Desk or end-user support management and supervision.

· Knowledge of IT operational best practices, performance indicator development, and reporting.

· Experience in IT policy and procedure development and enforcement.

· Experience in IT staff training, development, and advancement.

· Experience managing IT staff time, attendance, and resources.

· Experience in IT staff hiring, evaluation, advancement, and disciplinary actions.

· Experience in IT functions such as purchasing and asset management.

· IT Project Management experience.

· Budgeting and fiscal planning experience.

· Strong conflict management and consensus-building skills.

· In-depth knowledge and experience in health service delivery environments, such as hospital medical services, health and human services, diagnostic services, etc.

· In-depth knowledge and experience in insurance-based billed services (private, Medicare, Medicaid).
